On the 8th day of Glass House
my true love gave to me… an outdoor patio built for a kickin’ party. Yep, this is the shot of the outdoor patio from the Club Lounge that comes with the rental. I’ll post a few more of these throughout today.

Last minute Gift idea - Urban Tribes
Okay, so after a 20 hour drive we are cozy and enjoying Christmas in Michigan with my lady’s family, which include two professors who deal with Sociology. Of course numerous great topics come up, and at one point in our discussions the book “Urban Tribes” rose to the surface.
With the similar timing of Glass House closing coupled with my marathon of posting photos (easy Vacation solution) I began thinking about how the Glass House building may be one heck of a huge Urban Tribe. Well… actually it is probably a building that will house a collection of Urban Tribes co-existing under on roof. What are Urban Tribes…. well really the term is used to describe how Urban Social Groups now exist which put you, your friends, your colleagues into similar bonding structures to the classic family organization. I could go into more detail and rant and rave about this idea, but the book does a better job on its own.
Anyway, if you haven’t read this book I believe you will find it a good and entertaining read. If you forgot a gift for someone, or perhaps a new home owner gift is in the future, this book might be the Urban fit. Here is the link, check it out.
Merry Christmas!!

On the 7th day of Glass House
my true love gave to me… a movie theatre room for my buddies and me. I can see the sign up list now for Av’s games, Broncos Games, and more. Connected to the lounge this movie theatre has it’s own bar and a catering kitchen. Whether it’s rooting your favorite Nugget or a Star Wars marathon, you can host your own event in true style. Awesome!
And Merry Christmas, if you lived in Glass House today you could rent it out for a Christmas party and watch Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer with your closest friends on the big screen. Ho Ho Ho!!

On the 5th day of Glass House
my true love gave to me… my club lounge for entertaining (bar stools and furniture are funky, cool, and ready for adventure).
Here is something to think about this holiday season, watching a major snow storm come into denver through those beautiful glass walls. Sitting with friends, sipping a glass of wine, warm and cozy as a blizzard does its silent dance outside. Glass Walls and snowy nights are the perfect combination.

On the 4th day of Glass House
my true love gave to me… my brand new appliance delivery (plus a glimpse of the hallways). Anyone have a guess how many pizzas will be baked in Glass House in the first year…

my true love gave to me… glass tiles in my elevator lobby. (cool) Now just imagine all the folks who are just waiting to take the elevators for the first time to their new home. Nice artwork too!

Discussion forums
Someone emailed me to ask if there was a Glass House Discussion Forum, for new residents to meet each other and for general discussion. So a new forum was created at the Urban Brain Discussion. Just pass it along, and make sure to share news about new restaurants and other events happening here in Denver.
