What’s up with Mikey’s

Does anyone know the scoop on Mikey’s Italian Bistro at 4140 W 38th Ave. We went there last night, all geared up for some homemade spaghetti and a bottle of wine in a cozy atmosphere but found instead a closed sigh and it looks like some demolition or other major work is underway.

Please don’t tell me Mikey’s is no more. Could it be that this little nugget is gone? Someone share the scoop. I called their number and it says that “this mailbox has not been set up”. That is certainly not a good sign.

We ended up cruising over to the Saucy Noodle instead for some homemade linguini, which I recommend. But we need to have a nice homemade noodle in our own neighborhood. Any favorites out there people want to share for homemade noodles in Denver or their other favorite Italian spots.

Patsy’s is good for your classic red sauce, and lots of it, but you’ve got to try Osteria Marco on Larimer Square. It’s the only really good Italian restaurant of that price range in town. Go on Sunday for the rotisserie suckling pig! Oink oink!

I know it’s a few months after your posting and you propally already found out, but mikeys sold that restaurant, but still has his newer restaurant in arvada with the same quality food as at mikeys italian bistro - the address is: 12363 W 64th Ave, Arvada, CO 80004 - I was very Sad also when we went to mikeys two weeks ago and found a french bistro instead - We will try that out sometime but since I was so sad about not getting my favorite Mikey’s CHICKEN MARSALA - we went to Red Tango down the street to appease our taste buds temporarly.
