Denver ranked #1 Dangerously Drunk City

Not our proudest moment. But then again it is Men’s Health Magazine not Scientific American.

Shocker! It’s mostly based on DUI statistics compiled by MADD, which can be ambiguous at best. They would consider someone getting hit by a car picking up a beer can in the middle of the street to throw away, an “alcohol related traffic incident”.
But I digress.
If thousands of people didn’t flock to lodo to get faced, then with the lack of any decent mass transit, and the fact that denver cabs are horrendous, people wouldn’t drive home, and rack up dui’s. I’m in no way condoning drunk driving, but Denver is a pretty drunk-unfriendly town.
